These were pretty cool at first, I especially like your Courage, Timmy Turner, and Pinocchio cartoons, but to be quit honest this is getting a bit stale. Your channel has been around for awhile, and while this sort of content may be popular now, if you don't start switching things up again people are going to become bored with this and dismiss you as a one trick pony.

Not trying to be too harsh on you, I did enjoy Fin's holy rant, but you may want to keep this in mind.

I agree. I will branch out with other cartoons. These are just super fun to make. Thank you for the feedback

Good stupid fun, what else can I say?

This has allot of the elements of things that I enjoy, I like the aesthetic and sound choices, but it just felt a bit lacking in substance, I really didn't feel for the protagonist, I didn't have a reason to.
I have nothing against the gore or even the pacing, it just feels like it wants to be something that was, without actually being it.

I can tell that a decent amount of effort went into this, the character designs were half decent, and as stated above I do like the sound design, all I can really say is keep trying and eventually you will find the right balance between style and substance.

Thank you

Pretty great stuff Scott, the onion frames give off an ethereal vibe.

My swivel or sony vegas does that to me idk y :( but thanks!!

I'll start off with this, that was very nice, some awkward bits, but the styling of the background/foreground/characters really worked well with each-other.
The way that you handled the 3D models was pretty well thought out, I dig the cell shading.
I'm pretty sure a good deal of the character animation was directly rotoscoped, and sometimes the movement felt a bit off, but non the less still pretty impressive.
The BGM was an alright remix of the main R-type theme, not sure how much of that was in your control, but if so then I recommend having a prominent segment where the lead medley solos out at a higher pitch, and some more prominent synth backing would do wonders! (The arcade cabinet used a digital synth to make the music in the first place.)
The SFX were definitely above average, I understand the choice to mix in the arcade effects for this type of project, and it works.
Voice acting was a mixed bag, but hey that's Newgrounds for ya, everyone needs a launch point, and I never cringed, so I'd say it went pretty well.
So to sum things up, great job, and may you only improve from here!

The animation on the car was pretty nice.
Over all this cartoon was short, but to the point.
Hope she liked it!

WooleyWorld responds:

She really enjoyed it. In hindsight, spicing up the car animation with an alternate shot would've worked wonders.

Good sir, this is a grand work of art.

Dude, I've been following this passion project of yours since it first started, and I must say whoever did the voice work for Brian didn't do a very good job..

Other than that good effort!

Cheers to this,
and to many more years to come!

scottwjsm responds:

Cheers Mate!

I was expecting a cheap joke, and was presented with some actual effort, great work!

A dead man once told me you need to learn to draw before you can be an animator, I took him on his words and have been learning to do just that. Wouldn't say I'm a draftsman yet, but I should probably start practicing the animating part of animation now.
