What a fascinating evolutionary adaptation, having an eye that is only active when feeding. I hypothesize that this may help Eiko to watch out for scavengers who may try to steel her prey.

I also believe that the internal arm shown when she is about to feed helps aid in the process of peristalsis, for a creature with such a long torso would need an advanced, I'll be it unorthodox, way of routing food through such a long and complex network of intestines.

The natural world truly is full of wonders.
